Is the iWatch finally coming? Are new, bigger iPhones really on the way? All eyes are on Apple today as it unveils its latest technology at an event that starts at 1 p.m. ET.
The Cupertino, Calif.-based company is streaming the event live online — something it rarely does for its events — and has had a countdown clock on its streaming site since last week. Starting yesterday, it began redirecting traffic from the main U.S. Apple website to the livestream site.
The live event will take place at the Flint Center in Cupertino, where Apple co-founder Steve Jobs first revealed the Mac computer 30 years ago. The centre, which seats around 2,400, is a much larger venue than those where Apple has held other recent product unveilings.
