Google knows what you were looking for this year and has posted its search data for Canada in 2014.
The uniquely Canadian list, revealed early Tuesday, shows which celebrities, musicians, TV shows and movies got Canadians buzzing this past year.
Here are the results ranked in order by volume of searches:

Canadians turned to the search engine in droves when popular Hollywood entertainers like Robin Williams, Joan Rivers and Philip Seymour Hoffman died. People were looking for Jennifer Lawrence for an number of reasons, not the least of which was the iCloud security breach that saw nude images of the Hunger Games star, and dozens of others, leaked online in the late summer.

Searches for Ellen Page hit a high in February after the Halifax-born Juno star came out as gay during a speech in Las Vegas.
Fans also flocked to Google to find out more about Renée Zellweger after the Bridget Jones star revealed a dramatically different-looking face on the red carpet in October. Her appearance generated a social media storm and a triggered a wider conversation about beauty, cosmetic surgery and the pressures on aging women in Hollywood.

That teeny tiny Disney movie, Frozen, generated a blizzard of interest online this year from videos of fans singing covers of Let It Go to Halloween costumes and searches for the in-demand toys.
Fans of the small screen tried to satisfy their binge-watching needs by searching for such addictive shows as True Detective, Game of Thrones and The Bachelor.
Newcomers, Gotham and The Flash also made the list.

Female artists dominated the list of most-searched musicians of 2014 with Iggy Azalea, Ariana Grande and Taylor Swift taking the top spots. But it was a little-known Austrian recording artist and drag queen that people were looking for in May when Conchita Wurst won the Eurovision Song Contest.
